The marine firefighting foam is a special concentrate that, when mixed with sea water, turns into an aqueous solution, then passes through the medium expansion foam generator and forms a large amount of air-mechanical foam, thereby preventing oxygen from entering the combustion products, and without air, most combustible materials are unable to continue burning.

Fire extinguishing is carried out using standard foam generators of low, medium, high expansion and foam fire extinguishing systems using both sea and fresh water. The marine firefighting foam is used on ships and vessels, as well as on other objects of the river and sea fleet.
