The Welder's Protective Blanket or Fire Blanket is a product made of fire-resistant tarpaulin, capable of extinguishing small fires and fires at the initial stage of their occurrence. Everyone knows that there is a combustion triangle consisting of a fire load (combustible material), an ignition source and oxygen contained in the air. If you remove one component from this triangle, combustion will not occur. The  Fire Blanket plays a very important role in this process. It blocks the access of air to the combustion product. This applies to fires of the most common classes: A - combustion of solids, B - combustion of liquids, C - combustion of gaseous substances. In the case of extinguishing class D fires - (combustion of metals and their alloys), the  fire blanket is of no use, since such metals, for example, as magnesium, burn without access to oxygen and their combustion temperature can reach above 2800 C.

The  Fire Blanket produced by our company is made of durable, dense tarpaulin, it is stitched with fire-resistant or high-strength threads. The type of thread and the number of seams are selected when ordering the  Fire Blanket. If you choose the  Fire Blanket specifically for fire extinguishing, we recommend choosing a large felt made of high-density material, stitched with fire-resistant threads, with three seams at the joint, since this special type of joint has a hidden seam, which is less exposed to open flame. If you need a Welder's Protective Blanket to cover during welding, you can choose a felt stitched with high-strength threads. Of course, the price depends on this, but we do not recommend saving when choosing a Fire Blanket, because cheap and low-quality fire blanket will never extinguish a fire.
